When Laswell is subsequently captured by Al-Qatala, her allies in Urzikstan intervene to save her. Later, she informs Task Force 141 about Shepherd and Graves' botched mission, exposing the betrayal that left Los Vaqueros under siege. In the aftermath of Hassan's death in Chicago, where Ghost snipes him as he attempts to throw Soap from a building, Laswell informs the team of Vladimir Makarov's rise as the new leader of the Russian Ultranationalists responsible for Shepherd's failure. Her intel directly shapes the post-campaign Special Ops and Multiplayer storylines, overseeing covert operations by SpecGru and KorTac factions near Al Mazrah, Ashika, and Vondel.
